System Information Viewer is a general Windows utility for displaying lots of useful Windows, Network and hardware info – CPU info, PCI info, PCMCIA info, USB info, Machine Info, Hardware Sensors, Networked computers, Operating System Information and more.
What’s New in version 4.03:

•Changed the default screen layout to reflect each processor chip having multiple logical processors. Added the -NOCHIP qualifier to revert to the old style screen layout.
•Added Disk Drive HDA Temperatures the default screen and ToolTips to show the range. The -NOSMART qualifier can be used to exclude them.

•Added support for the Intel Q57 PCI Express chipset and the Celeron Dual-Core T3000 (Penryn) Series of Processors.
•Added the [WLAN Profiles] panel to display and optionally delete Native Wi-Fi WLAN Profiles. Changed to display a [Wi-Fi] rather than a [Modem] button for Windows Vista and later, also added a -MODEM switch.
•Added [Save Selected] and enhanced [Save All] to pop up a window as soon as the operation starts and update it as the save progresses. Corrected save to work on Windows 9x systems.
•Enhanced [About] to show the state of the command switches.

Process Lasso is a software that will improve system responsiveness and stability.

Process Lasso is a unique new technology intended to automatically restrain running processes that are consuming too many CPU cycles.

Often times, processes that are ‘out-of-control’ can bring an NT system to a near halt. Once one or more processes have become CPU resource hogs, termination of the offending process(es) is very difficult since it is nearly impossible to even open the task manager.

With Process Lasso, these processes are temporarily reduced in priority so that the system is returned to a responsive level. Process Lasso can even work when multiple processes are responsible for a decrease in system responsiveness.

In addition, Process Lasso offers capabilities such as default process priorities, termination of disallowed processes, and logging of processes executed.

Process Lasso is extremely efficient and itself has almost no CPU usage. The core engine, called the Process Governor, is separated from the GUI so that one can completely close the GUI and keep the primary functions of Process Lasso operating.

The core engine can even be run as a system service so that it starts before any user is logged in. However, the GUI itself is so optimal that we recommend leaving it running so it can quickly be accessed in times when it is needed.

Limitations: Free for home and academic users. Commercial users need to register the program after 14 days of evaluation.

IECacheView is a small application that will read the cache folder of Internet Explorer and display the list of all files that are currently stored in the cache.

For each cache file, the following information is displayed: Filename, Content Type, URL, Last Accessed Time, Last Modified Time, Expiration Time, Number Of Hits, File Size, Folder Name, and full path of the cache filename.

You will be able to easily save all the cache information into a html/text/xml file, or copy the cache table to the clipboard and then paste it to another application, like Excel or OpenOffice Spreadsheet.

Advantages over the ‘Temporary Internet Files’ viewer of Windows
· IECacheView displays only the list of cache files, while the cache view of Windows displays a mix of cookies and cache files.
· IECacheView allows you to filter the cache files by file type (image, text, video, audio, or application).
· IECacheView allows you to view the cache files of another user or from another disk, while with the Windows viewer, you can only watch the cache of the current logged-on user.
· IECacheView displays some columns that are not displayed by the cache viewer of Windows: Content Type, Number of hits, Sub-folder name, and the full-path of the cached filename.
· With IECacheView, you can easily select the desired cache items, copy the information to the clipboard, and then paste it into Excel or OpenOffice Spreadsheet.
